Aqsa
Artist's Description
"Aqsa, was inspired by the genocide in Palestine. It serves as a reminder of those who have been persecuted, tortured and killed in the holy land, lest we forget. I Painted the Al Aqsa mosque, then began distorting and throwing paint on the canvas to conceal it. I used various brushes and techniques to get the desired effect. The blue foreground represents Israel’s bombardment from above, the red symbolises the innocent Palestinian lives massacred and the white represents their purity. My overall message is to stop the killing and apartheid!"
